Capital de Carreira: uma agenda para o trabalho no século XXI

A noção de capital, historicamente associada a recursos financeiros, físicos ou tecnológicos, expandiu-se nas últimas décadas para incluir dimensões intangíveis fundamentais ao sucesso organizacional e individual. Este artigo propõe uma reflexão sobre o conceito de capital de carreira: o conjunto de recursos não financeiros que um indivíduo acumula ao longo de sua trajetória profissional, incluindo competências (knowing-how), redes de relacionamento (knowing-whom) e propósito (knowing-why). Argumenta-se que, em um cenário de transformações aceleradas, globalização e envelhecimento populacional, o capital de carreira tornou-se determinante para a empregabilidade, a mobilidade e a longevidade da carreira. Ao integrar os elementos do modelo Inteligentes Careers (carreiras inteligentes) à lógica da gestão de ativos, o artigo propõe uma tipologia baseada em alto e baixo capital de carreira e discute suas implicações práticas e teóricas. Por fim, apresenta uma agenda de pesquisa e de ação voltada a profissionais, organizações e formuladores de políticas públicas, destacando a importância de reconhecer, mensurar e investir nesse patrimônio intangível como estratégia de futuro em mercados de trabalho cada vez mais dinâmicos e incertos.
